Taqueria El Ranchero in Wahiawa

Taqueria El Ranchero opened in Wahiawa a few months ago, and being the fan of Mexican food that I am, I couldn't wait to try their food!

Grilled Chicken Taco

Grilled Steak Quesadilla

Enchiladas Plate

Grilled Chicken Sope

Kids Burrito

Salsa Bar

We ordered takeout, and my husband and I actually wanted Nachos, but can you believe they ran out of chips?

So no Nachos for us.  And since they didn't have any Chimichangas on the menu (which is what I usually eat at Mexican restaurants), I decided to try the Sope.  Fried Masa is topped with Grilled Chicken, Lettuce, and Beans, and overall I thought it was good, but the Masa was a bit too grainy for my taste buds.

I did try some of the Taco, which was really delicious.  The chicken was seasoned perfectly, and at just $2 per Taco, it's quite a deal!

They don't have a kids menu, but they do have a Nino (Kids) Burrito, and other items my kids like to eat, like Quesadillas.

I love that they offer a variety of salsa to try and the Salsa Bar, but I was disappointed they had no chips!

Hopefully the next time I dine in or take out, they'll have chips handy so I can try their Nachos!
