Kailua Beach Park

Kailua Beach Park seems to be more and more popular (and crowded) each time I go, but it's still one of my favorite beaches on the island.

On a recent visit, it started to pour, but thankfully it quickly cleared up.

People were out swimming, kite boarding, wind surfing, and kayaking.

My kids swam and boogie-boarded, and we also strolled the beach (and saw some Portuguese man-o-war washed up on shore).

The calm, blue waters and white sands of Kailua Beach Park beckon beach-goers, and it really is a beautiful place to spend the day!
