Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Bars

I love chocolate and peanut butter, so when I saw this Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Bars recipe on Averie Cooks, I knew I had to try it!

They were absolutely delicious - soft, chewy, peanut buttery bars with lots and lots of chocolate chips. If you love PB & chocolate, this is a must-try recipe! 

Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Bars (recipe credit Averie Cooks)

Ingredients:
  • 1/2 c melted butter
  • 1/3 c peanut butter
  • 1 c brown sugar, packed
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 T vanilla extract
  • 1 c flour
  • 1 c chocolate chips
  • 1/4 c chocolate chips (for sprinkling)
Directions:
  • Preheat oven to 350F. 
  • Line an 8x8 or 9x9 baking pan with parchment paper.
  • In a medium bowl, combine melted butter, peanut butter, and brown sugar.
  • Add in the egg and vanilla.  Stir to combine.
  • Mix in the flour.
  • Stir in 1 cup chocolate chips.
  • Spread batter into prepared pan. 
  • Sprinkle evenly with 1/4 cup chocolate chips.
  • Bake for approximately 20 to 25 minutes.
