New to Waipahu - Magnolia Ice Cream & Treats

I love ice cream.  It's my favorite dessert, so I was excited when Magnolia Ice Cream & Treats opened up in Waipahu.

Mango

Buko Salad

Ube, Strawberry, Macapuno Ube
Located inside of Seafood City, which is a grocer that specializes in Filipino products, Magnolia Ice Cream & Treats offers flavors that are Filipino-inspired.

They do have a handful of "typical" flavors, such as vanilla and strawberry, but many of the other flavors are heavy in Phillipines-influence.

I had the Buko Salad, which may sound strange for an ice cream, but was actually very delicious.  Buko Salad is basically a Filipino dessert made out of coconuts and fruits, so it was tasty!

The Strawberry & Mango flavors were very refreshing, and the Ube (purple yam) and Macapuno (coconut) Ube flavors were good too (but my kids didn't care for the Ube flavors).

Magnolia Ice Cream & Treats offers many other flavors, as well as shave ice, halo halo, and more.
