Visit Las Vegas: Welcome to Las Vegas Sign

One of my sons is really into geography and landmarks, so while in Las Vegas one of the things he really wanted to see was the Welcome to Las Vegas Sign.

So on our last night in Vegas, we made sure to stop by the sign to take some photos.

Lots of people already at the sign

A little bummed some of the lights are burnt out
The Welcome to Las Vegas Sign is in the middle of Las Vegas Boulevard, and the parking lot is a bit small, but fortunately we found parking right away.

When we got to the sign there was a big group of at least 20 students taking photos - one by one!  We patiently waited our turn to take photos in front of this historic landmark, and although we were a bit bummed that some of the lights were burnt out, my kids were glad to see the sign.

While there a woman was asking people if they wanted her to take group/family photos.  She had a handheld light source to take better night shots, and she didn't charge any fees, but she welcomed tips.

We got some great shots by the sign, and just in time, because as we were leaving, busloads of people came.

It was such a nice way to end our last night in Vegas!
