Visit Phoenix: SONIC

Despite all the traveling I've done, I've never been to a Sonic until our trip to Phoenix.

That may be because we visited after a day at the Grand Canyon, which happened to be on Christmas Day, and it was open for dinner and very close to our hotel.

It was surprisingly very crowded for a Christmas night!

Chicken Club Toaster

Kids Grilled Cheese

Tater Tots

Kids Jr Chicken Strips

Fries

SS Bacon Cheese Burger

Kids Jr. Burger

With over 3500 locations in 44 states, SONIC offers the typical type of fare you'd find at most fast-food chains, but unlike most others, cars can drive up to one of several ordering stations, and food is delivered by carhops on roller skates.

I had the Chicken Club Toaster, and I devoured that sandwich (probably because we were all so hungry after the 3 1/2 hour drive from the Grand Canyon).

Kids meals come with a drink, as well a side (including Tater Tots!).

Our Christmas dinner was nothing fancy, but it sure was satisfying and delicious!
