Cream Cheese Squares aka Sopapilla Cheesecake Bars

Whenever I need to make a quick and easy dessert, I often make this Cream Cheese Squares recipe from Allrecipes.com.

They are so simple to make, yet they turn out so decadent!

Cream Cheese Squares (recipe credit Allrecipes.com):

Ingredients:
  • 2 8oz cans refrigerated crescent dough
  • 2 8oz packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1 c sugar
  • 1 t vanilla extract
  • 1/2 c butter, melted
  • 1/4 c sugar
  • 1 t ground cinnamon
Directions:
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Spray a 9x13 inch pan with cooking spray.
  • Unroll one can of crescent roll dough and press into bottom of prepared pan.
  • In a medium bowl, mix together cream cheese, 1 cup of sugar, and vanilla until smooth and creamy.
  • Spread over the crescent dough.
  • Unroll the second can of crescent roll dough and place on top of cream cheese mixture.
  • Pour the melted butter over the entire pan.
  • Mix the remaining 1/4 cup of sugar and cinnamon together and sprinkle over top layer of dough.
  • Bake for 25 to 30 minutes in the preheated oven, or until the top is crisp and golden.
