Just Dessert - Shokudo Japanese Restaurant & Bar

When Nat suggested we go to Shokudo Japanese Restaurant & Bar just for dessert after eating lunch nearby, I knew she wanted to eat the popular Honey Toast.

It's been a while since I've been to Shokudo, and I had no idea that there were so many varieties of Honey Toast.  I told Nat that she should pick which Honey Toast we'd share, and she chose the Cinnamon Honey Toast.

Thick slices of Japanese bread are toasted and the insides are cubed.  Ice cream, a drizzle of honey, and a sprinkle of cinnamon completed this simple, yet delicious dessert.

Even though Nat & I shared the Honey Toast along with my son, there was still a lot of leftover toast, which Nat took home to enjoy later.
