Shakey's Hawaii

The last time I went to Shakey's Hawaii, about a year-and-a-half ago, we waited an extremely long time for our food.  I didn't go back until last month to meet some family members who picked the restaurant for dinner.

I've always loved Shakey's food, and was hoping that on this visit the wait would be more reasonable.

Unfortunately, the wait was just as long. Yes, it was crowded, and yes, I appreciated the fact that the food was nice and hot, but I feel like something needs to be done so customers aren't waiting that long for their food.

We waited 45 minutes for our food.

However, the food was really good. I think Shakey's has some of the best pizza on the island. Their chicken (both the regular fried chicken and the strips), as well as the Mojos, are also very, very good.

The employees were all very friendly as well, and I love that there's a little arcade for the kids to play games and earn tickets to redeem for prizes.

And although the arcade was extremely chaotic with many, many kids, the employee behind the ticket redemption counter was awesome - she was so patient with all of the kids who were redeeming hundreds and hundreds of tickets.

Shakey's is a very family-friendly restaurant, and I really love their food - I just wish the waits were not so long.
