Cherry On Top

I thought I had heard of every FROYO place on this island. I don't know how Cherry On Top (COT) evaded my radar. In any event, they debuted in Hawaii in April 2010 and is an independently owned and operated franchise.

I actually never intended to step foot in here. If it wasn't for the employee who was setting up the outdoor seating for the day, I would have never stepped in. We were waiting for David's bridal to open and the COT employee asked us if we wanted to come inside and try some of their flavors. Who can decline that invitation right?

The employee gave us a few sampler cups each and even showed us how to operate the machine (the yogurt comes out quick).

The place was immaculate and very spacious. They had a nice selection of flavors and toppings. I was sold when I saw the two large pumps of Ghirardelli brand sauces - chocolate and caramel. Holy Batman!

The taste and texture of the plain original tart reminded me of Yami Yogurt and Red Mango - creamy and tart.

If I lived on this side of the island I'd definitely come here on a weekly basis.
