Off-Island - Disneyland Park

Our first trip to Disneyland was just as magical as we thought it would be, and visiting during the holidays made it even MORE magical!

The park was just so festive - a HUGE Christmas tree, decorations everywhere, including on so many of the rides, and there was SNOW (soap bubbles)!

Speaking of rides, we rode a lot of them, and DS3 rode many of them too!  I didn't realize how many baby-friendly rides there were at Disneyland.

We also watched Fantasmic, the Christmas Parade, and the Fireworks.

For Fantasmic and the Christmas Parade, you need to secure your seats fairly early (about 1-2 hours before showtime), otherwise, you can either cross your fingers that you'll luck out finding seats or that someone will be nice and make room for you and your family, or search online discussion forums to find out where great viewing seats are that not many people know about.

For instance, for Fantasmic, there are these GIGANTIC lights that no one stood by, but DH read online that most people assume the lights will block their view.  However, once the show starts, the lights are raised so you get a really great view of the show.

So do your research, and also, BE COURTEOUS!  Whether you're asking someone if space is available near him/her, or if someone is blocking your way, be courteous.

It was a wonderful first visit to Disneyland for the boys and they're already asking to go back!

  1. Oh gracious! I remember spending several days at Disneyland with the kids. We sure had more stamina back then. What a shame that grown-ups who should know better were disrespectful. Sigh... I'm glad your boys had a good time.
