En Fuego Grill

Last week DH picked up some plate lunches from En Fuego Grill in Kapolei.

Garlic Chicken: Whenever we pick up food from En Fuego Grill (I've never eaten in the restaurant) I usually get the garlic chicken. The garlic sauce itself is pretty tasty, and they do give quite a few pieces of chicken, but I personally think the pieces are usually too big and are not covered really well with the sauce. I kept having to dip the chicken in whatever sauce I could find in the plate.

Mochiko Chicken and Garlic Ahi: DH said both the chicken and the ahi were really good (I know--I should've moved the sauce container when I took the picture to show more of the ahi, but I'm still new at taking photos of food, as you probably already could tell...).

Poke: On this visit, DH had to wait longer than usual--it wasn't busy, they were just unusually slow for some reason, so they gave him some poke to thank him for his patience. Isn't that nice? DH said the poke was good, and I'm sure it was.

Poke is something that I've never tried before, and I don't think I ever will...

En Fuego's plate lunch prices are pretty comparable to other places (averaging $7-$8), and overall the food is good and so are the portion sizes.

It's a great place to go for bentos and catering too!

  1. Love your pictures and comments on the food. Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment on my blog. Being from Tennessee I should be a Titan fan, but just not big on football. My husband likes to watch the Titans but is not a serious fan. Thanks for stopping by. Blessings.

  3. I love En Fuego! We always go there when we're on that side of the island (which is not very often). We always order the garlic chicken too.
