Visit Kyoto: Takoyaki Angel (たこやきエンジェル)

While in Kyoto, we stopped at a little takoyaki shop, たこやきエンジェル (Takoyaki Angel), which was right by the train station.

Although they do have a morning menu with non-takoyaki items, pretty much the entire (tiny) menu is takoyaki, which you can get with different sauces / toppings (100 yen per topping).

We got a dozen takoyaki topped with shoyu, green laver, and mayo.  They were very good.

They do have refreshments as well.
Ice Fruit Cider
We got some shaved ice, made with natural syrups.

White Peach

Grape
The shaved ice wasn't super fine, but it was still refreshing, and the flavors delightful.

The shop is run by just one man, who was very helpful and pleasant, even with the language barrier.

Being near the train station, they sell a lot of gifts, so it's also a cute stop for some omiyage.
