Whenever people ask me for recommendations for dinner in Hilo, Lehua Restaurant is always on my list. When some colleagues let me know they were visiting Hilo, my co-worker and I decided to take them to Lehua.

Our server gave us a great tip - save the bread to dip on the Raviolo sauce!

Tinono |
I always get the Tinono - all the flavors remind me of my grandparents.

Tagliatelle with Shrimp |
I love tagliatelle, and this was another dish that was a hit of the table.

Fried Ehu |
The Fried Ehu dish was a feast in itself, and included a salad and banchan.

Fried Haupia |
We always get the Fried Haupia. I don't care for Haupia or Ube, but this dessert is just magic. The textures work perfectly together, and the flavors are nicely balanced.
The food at Lehua Restaurant is delicious and created with intention, the service stellar, and the ambience so welcoming.
Highly recommend!
