Visit London: Japes

One of my favorite dining experiences in London was at Japes, where they specialize in London-style and Deep Dish pizzas.  

Picante

The Picante was topped with pepperoni, peppers, Nduja, mozzarella, and Parmesan.  This was my favorite of all the pizzas.   It had a nice cheesy, caramelized crust that went all the way to the edge - it reminded me of a Detroit-style pizza (which is my fave type of pizza).

Wicked Chickens

Wicked Chickens was topped with chicken, mozzarella, ranch, mushrooms, corn, onion, and Parmesan.  

Classic Deep Dish

I've had authentic Chicago Deep Dish pizza before, and although the deep dish pizzas at Japes are inspired by the Chicago classic, the crust was unlike anything I've ever seen.  It was thick, but chewy, and the pizza itself was indeed "deep" and loaded.

Crust Dips

Of course - can't forget about the Crust Dips!  We got Japes Tomato, Buttermilk Ranch, and Truffle Mayo.  Crust Dips are a game-changer for those who don't really care for crusts (like me).

The pizzas were fab, and so was the service.

Highly recommend Japes for when you're craving pizza while in London!
