Now Open: Island Glazed

I LOVE donuts! When I saw Nadia's post on Instagram about Island Glazed Donut's grand opening, I knew I had to get down there to check it out. It just so happened that I had the day off ... on their grand opening day, because one of my son's did not have school. I strategically planned to go on a bike ride with him near Island Glazed Donuts, and told him that we were going to get some donuts before our bike ride. Of course he was all for it!

Island Glazed Donuts is located in Pearl Kai Shopping Center, which is across the street from Pearlridge Center. They are located near T-Mobile and Baskin Robbins.

Once we walked through the door, the aroma of fresh donuts hit us!  We were in heaven.

The owner, Daniel, happened to walk out, so we chatted for a bit and gave us a free glazed donut. My son said "it's way better than Krispy Kreme!".

Since my son did not share his donut with me, I bought a chocolate donut for myself, because the owner Daniel said the chocolate that he uses is really good and not common in Hawaii, because no one ships it here (not sure why).

It was delicious!! These donuts are pillowy soft, moist, and just melts in your mouth.

They have a good selection of locally inspired flavors, such as mango, pineapple, strawberry mango, dragon fruit, and ube.

I ended up buying a couple of boxes for friends, and one for our family.

Island Glazed is currently open 7 days a week from 6 am - 2 pm. I can't wait to go back for more donuts!!
