Visit New Orleans: Fat Boy's Pizza

Disclosure: My meal was hosted.

After passing by Fat Boy's Pizza in the French Quarter, my son just couldn't get over how huge the pizza was, and insisted we go there for dinner.

Luckily, there was a location near our hotel in Metairie, which was the original location, so we popped in for dinner.

We actually ordered take-out, but after seeing how enormous the box was and what a struggle it would be to get it into the car and carry it into our hotel room, we decided to eat in.

The pizza was indeed the biggest pizza I ever did see.  We ordered The Meats, which was topped with a homemade sauce, plus mozzarella, pepperoni, Italian sausage, ham, bacon, and ground beef.  I thought the amount of toppings were decent, and the family got a kick out of how huge it was (each person could only eat a slice because they were so gigantic!).  The price is huge too - $49.99 before tax!
The HOG
For my dinner, I decided to order The Hog.  It's basically a BBQ pizza, topped with their house Smoky HOG sauce, cheddar, mozzarella, pulled pork, red onions, pickled jalapenos, and Sweet Baby Ray's Barbecue Sauce.

It was really delicious, with a lot of smokiness, and I loved the heat and acid from the pickled jalapenos.

Loaded Waffle Fries

The Loaded Waffle Fries were topped with cheddar, bacon, and sour cream - can't go wrong with that combo!

Fat Boy's Pizza also offers desserts!
Baked Dessert Knots
The Baked Dessert Knots were sweet and sticky - brown sugar, butter, cinnamon sugar, and a vanilla glaze. A nice ending to a satisfying meal.
