Visit Hilo: King's Vietnamese Cuisine

I've passed King's Vietnamese Cuisine - a food truck on the side of a home on a main street in Hilo, many, many times, and I finally gave it a try.

The one-man-show dishes up Bahn Mis and other sides to numerous customers a day, who call in orders or order at the truck.

The Bahn Mis, offered with pork or chicken, were stuffed!  There was no skimping on veggies or proteins.  I had the Chicken Bahn Mi, and the chicken was very flavorful.  The sandwich was so huge, I could only finish half!

I also tried some Dumplings and Spring Rolls.

The Spring Rolls were really yummy.  Nice and crispy on the outside, and not oily at all.  I thought the Dumplings were just okay, as I felt the filling wasn't seasoned enough, but my friend really liked them.

I can't believe I waited so long to try King's Vietnamese Cuisine, but I'll definitely return if I'm craving Bahn Mis!
