Shige's Saimin Stand

On our way back from spending the morning at Kaena Point (Mokuleia side), we stopped at Shige's Saimin Stand in Wahiawa for lunch. Since it was regular workday, there were a lot of open tables and parking (we've driven by here previously on the weekends and have seen a lot of people waiting outside for a table).

One son ordered the udon (he requested it plain - no meat or green onions). The other son ordered a hamburger (he requested it plain). I ordered the fried saimin. I believe the udon noodles are made in-house, just like their saimin noodles. There's nothing better than eating noodles that are made in-house by the restaurant! The fried saimin was delicious and the portion was generous. The hamburger patty is also homemade and the son thoroughly enjoyed his burger.

Take-out is also available (see Gem's review here).
