Visit Hilo: Kamana Kitchen

I love Indian food, so I was excited to finally try Kamana Kitchen in Hilo.  I enjoyed my first take-out order so much, that I ordered more take-out just a few weeks later!

Mixed Pakora

Pakora is veggies, chicken, or cheese dipped in batter and fried.  You can get all 3 varieties in the Mixed Pakora (if I had to choose, the veggies were my fave - the chicken was a little tough to eat).

Malai Kofta

The Malai Kofta consists of croquettes made from cottage cheese, potatoes, and other vegetables in a flavorful sauce.  I was hoping for more of a crunch from the croquettes (if I order this again I would ask if they are able to serve them separately from the sauce), but I really enjoyed the sauce.
Palak Paneer

A popular Indian fave, the Palak Paneer is a mixture of spinach and cottage cheese.

Chicken Tikka Masala

My fave Indian dish is the Chicken Tikka Masala.  Roasted tandoor chicken is just so tender, and I love the the delicious sauce!
Vegetable Samosa

The Vegetable Samosa was filled with peas, potatoes, and herbs.  The pastry was perfectly crisp and the filling was delicious.  I'd want an entire plate of these!

Don't forget some breads to dip in and sop up all the sauces!

Onion Kulcha

Garlic Naan
