UNIQLO Hawaii Launches Hawaii-Exclusive Designs with Local Businesses and Artists

UNIQLO is saying “Mahalo Arigato'' to customers as they commemorate its fourth anniversary beginning Friday, May 20! Celebrations include the launch of Hawaii-exclusive UTme! designs, new The Brands Hawaiian Loco UT (UNIQLO T-shirt) partners, a locally-crafted gift with purchase and limited-time promotions. It’s all part of UNIQLO’s mission of Together in Hawaii that focuses on giving back to the community.

To kickoff the anniversary celebrations, UNIQLO is launching 10 days of promotions to thank customers for their support beginning May 20 featuring summer favorites such as AIRism masks, Aloha shirts, active wear, inner wear, basic shorts and tees.

On Friday, May 27, UNIQLO is unveiling new UTme! designs. The collection features landmarks, nonprofits and beloved brands including Central Pacific Bank, Zippy’s, Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve and Protect & Preserve Hawaiʻi. UNIQLO will also add new artist designs featuring Jasper Wong, Jack Soren and Lauren Roth.

POW WOW! founder and artist Jasper Wong will host a pop-up activation in store creating unique artwork with UTme! shoppers on Friday, May 27 from 4-6 p.m.

UNIQLO continues to give back to the community by donating 5% of all Hawaii UTme! sales to the Hawaii Foodbank through November 2022. UTme!, a popular UNIQLO service worldwide, provides a hands-on T-shirt designing experience. Customers create their own special one-of-a-kind UT and tote bags.

”We launched our ’Together in Hawaii’ mission because we believe the local businesses, nonprofits and people are what truly makes Hawaii such a special place, and we are thrilled to be honoring them for our anniversary,” said Haruka Karino, business manager of UNIQLO Hawaii. “We’re also proud to announce that we’ve been able to provide over 20,000 meals so far to help the Hawaii Foodbank fight hunger.”

Celebrations continue as UNIQLO adds two new local partners – Aloha Shoyu and Foodland – to its popular The Brands Hawaiian LOCO UT collection of T-shirts for adults and children in June. UNIQLO will also introduce fresh designs featuring past partners such as Leonard’s Bakery and Hawaiian Sun.
