Visit Waimea: The Fish & The Hog

The Fish & The Hog is one of my favorite restaurants on the Big Island, and I believe they have the best Onion Rings on the island!

Smoked Chicken Club

I ordered the Smoked Chicken Club with Bacon, which I thought was okay, and I subbed the Fries with Onion Rings, when I really should've ordered an entire side (or two) of the Onion Rings.

The Beer-Battered Onion Rings are so good!  The batter is crispy, light, and seasoned just right.  Even my chef friend said the onion rings were really good.

Beer-Battered Fried Pickles

The same batter is used on the Beer-Battered Fried Pickles, which is also delicious!
Smoked Brisket French Dip

The Smoked Brisket French Dip was loaded with meat, and my friend enjoyed it.

Banana Cream Pie

I was tempted with dessert and got the Banana Cream Pie.  It was enormous!

It was my friend's first time at The Fish & The Hog, and he is already eager to try more food from there.

Definitely a Big Island must-stop!
