Banana Bread Chocolate Chip Cookies

These cookies taste just like Chocolate Chip Banana Bread, but in cookie form!  So yummy!

Banana Bread Chocolate Chip Cookies


  • 1 overripe medium banana, mashed
  • 1/2 c melted butter
  • 3/4 c brown sugar, packed
  • 1 egg
  • 1 t vanilla extract
  • 1 1/3 c flour
  • 1/2 t baking soda
  • 2 t ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 t salt
  • 1 1/2 c chocolate chips
  • In a large bowl, mix the melted butter, brown sugar, and mashed banana. 
  • Mix in the egg and vanilla.
  • Mix in flour, salt, baking soda, and cinnamon. 
  • Mix in the chocolate chips. 
  • Scoop 2-inch balls of dough and place onto a parchment-lined cookie sheet.
  • Bake for 12-13 minutes in a preheated 350°F oven.
  • Let sit on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool.
