Dinner at d.k Steakhouse + Specials for the Holidays!

30 day "Prime" Dry-aged Bone-in Rib Eye Paniolo Style

It's been awhile since I had those famous d.k Steakhouse dry age steaks so I was excited to dine at the restaurant for a media event. Just as we arrived, we were treated to the prettiest sunset! A great reminder that this location would make for a romantic night out.

Ask for an outside table for this gorgeous view!

Located in the Waikiki Beach Marriott, d.k Steahouse was the first on Oahu to dry age their steaks in house using only 100% USA Source Certified Steaks that are all natural, with no growth hormones, no antibiotics, and no steroids. When you dine at d.k Steakhouse, you'll also be able to order menu favorites from Sansei and Vino.

Currently, they are offering holiday cocktail specials that include a delicious Cinnamon Side Car made with brandy, An After Dinner Mint with Bailey's Irish Creme, and hot cocktails like the Green Tea Toddy with hot sake.

We were treated to a variety of salads and appetizers: a new House Salad, Wedge Salad, Breasaola Carpaccio Salad, Blue Crab Dip, Crispy Cauliflower, Bristol Bay Scallops, and the thick cut Nueske Bacon (available only on special). The table's top favorites were the Blue Crab Dip and the Bristol Bay Scallops.

House Salad: Mesclun green and cabbage mix, vine ripened tomatoes, roasted Ali’i mushrooms, shaved Maui onions, sherry vinaigrette

Wedge Salad: Chilled iceberg lettuce, egg crumbles, bacon, diced tomatoes, served with 1000 island dressing

Breasaola Carpaccio Salad: Thinly sliced tenderloin of beef, baby arugula, green olives, capers, asparagus, cherry tomato, thai basil, house made mac nut pesto, pickled jalapenos, balsamic glaze

Blue Crab Dip: Blue crab, fresh spinach, garlic & shallots, parmesan cheese, baked and served with house bread

Crispy Cauliflower: Cumin aioli, pickled red cabbage & zaatar brown butter

Bristol Bay Scallops: local corn ragu and truffle butter on linguine

Thick Cut "Nueske" Bacon: available when on special

Next, came the decadent dishes of Truffle "Mac and Cheese" and Lobster and Shrimp Mashed Potatoes followed by the Asparagus Milanese, Red Wine Braised Short Ribs, Filet Crab Oscar Style, and the 30 day "Prime" Dry-aged Bone-in Rib Eye. My personal favorites were the Lobster and Shrimp Mashed Potatoes and the Filet Crab Oscar Style, but the house made "paniolo" dry rub on the rib eye was amazing! We finished off this delicious meal with Chef Cherie's Chocolate Crunch Bars that would satisfy any chocolate lover.

Truffle Mac and Cheese: “Home style” macaroni & cheese, bacon, with white truffle oil

Lobster and Shrimp Mashed Potatoes: Sautéed cold water lobster tail & succulent shrimp in a tarragon cream sauce on mashed potatoes

Asparagus Milanese: Grilled asparagus, breadcrumbs, sunny side up egg

Red Wine Braised Short Ribs: mashed potatoes, Dijon-truffle aioli & bay leaf chimichurri finished with a sunny-side up egg

Filet Crab Oscar Style: Blue lump crab cake, fresh asparagus, béarnaise sauce

Just in time for holiday celebrations, d.k Steakhouse is offering special a la carte items for Christmas and New Year's! Christmas specials include: Shrimp “ceviche” with cilantro, lime, truffle oil, vine-ripened tomatoes and served with tortillas; Crab-crusted fresh island catch with kabocha fondue, roasted baby carrots and yuzu beurre blanc; Red wine-braised lamb shank “osso bucco” with smashed fingerling potatoes, rosemary lamb jus, shaved asparagus-mint salad, and fried shallots and Apple-raisin bread pudding with candied walnuts, Tahitian vanilla bean ice cream, and caramel & creme anglais.
