Boots & Kimo's Homestyle Kitchen

Boots & Kimo's, a highly popular breakfast joint, formerly located in Kailua town, is now located in Enchanted Lake Shopping Center, which is about 10 minutes away from Kailua town.  It's been years since we've dined at Boots & Kimo's, mostly because it's been known as a must-try for visitors, which has resulted in crowds and long waits for a table, especially on weekends.  But we decided to give it a try this past weekend for the husband's birthday, and we were pleasant surprised to get a table as soon as we checked in.

We ordered the Onolicious fried rice and a short stack of buttermilk pancakes for the boys.  The birthday boy and I shared a short stack of their famous pancakes with "Kimo's Macadamia nut sauce and Hawaiian Style Pulehu Ribs Breakfast (this comes with pulehu ribs, 2 eggs any style, and choice of rice/hashbrowns/toast).  We ended up sharing everything (the boys wanted our eggs and pulehu ribs) and it was just as good as the days when we used to eat at Boots before kids.

They offer take-out and online ordering, and you can also purchase gift cards on their website.
