Yung Yee Kee Dim Sum

Yung Yee Kee Dim Sum is a relatively newcomer to Oahu's dim sum scene, having opened in February 2020, right before Oahu shut down due to COVID-19. It is located on Kapiolani Blvd near Ala Moana Center, which is ideal for many who do not like to deal with the traffic and crowds in Chinatown. Unlike at most dim sum eateries, there are no dim sum carts here - you mark the items you want to order on a sheet, hand it to your server, and they'll deliver your items to you.

Here's what two of us enjoyed for lunch on a weekday:

sticky rice in lotus leaf

siu mai

har gow

garlic chicken wings

shanghai pork dumplings

sesame ball with red bean

Tea is not included, so we ordered a pot, because what is dim sum without a hot pot of tea! Prices are higher than your average dim sum restaurant, but the quality here is better than average IMHO. Service was quick and everything was delicious. I can't wait to return to try more items on the menu.

They recently expanded their hours, opening at 10 am on weekdays, 9 am on weekends!
