Tanaka Ramen & Izakaya - Pearlridge

Tanaka Ramen & Izakaya is currently my favorite place to go to for bowls of steaming hot ramen. They recently opened their third location on Oahu at Pearlridge, and we finally got to check it out last Sunday for lunch.

Since Gem said their clam chowder croquettes are a "must-try", we ordered it. We were skeptical (usually croquettes are filled with mashed potatoes, ground meat, etc, not soup!), but we ended up really loving this appetizer!

I thought the clam chowder would be spewing out after one bite, but due to the thickness of the soup, it actually stayed in-tact.  I would also call this a "must-try" dish if you like clam chowder!

We also enjoyed three pieces of chicken karaage, compliments of the house, thanks to the grand opening special promo.  All you need to do is check-in to the restaurant on the Yelp app and show your check in to the server.

For my main course I ordered the Tanaka Combo ramen with thick noodle. I order this every time!

Check out Tanaka Ramen & Izakaya the next time you're shopping at Pearlridge Center!  They are located in Wai Makai, on the second floor next to Dunkin Donuts.
