Gem's Take on Chicken & Brisket

Despite how long Nat and I have been friends (since college!), and how much we both love French fries and Reese's peanut butter cups - that's where the food similarities end.  We have very different likes when it comes to food, so it's kind of rare that we find a restaurant or dish that we both really, really like.

A couple of weeks ago, she texted me a link to Chicken & Brisket.  I never heard of the place, but she knows how much I love fried chicken, so I couldn't wait to give it a try, especially after she (and her fried chicken-loving hubby), declared that the fried chicken was really good.

I agree with Nat - the Fried Chicken is so good - perfectly crisp on the outside, and tender and juicy on the inside.  The Korean Fried Chicken was my favorite - with a sweet and garlicky flavor that was addicting.

I love the Fried Noodles as well, and the Spicy Brisket Chili was indeed spicy, and loaded with so much meat!  It was very hearty, and made for a great topping when on fries.

And who can resist Loaded Fries, topped with bacon, cheese, sour cream, and green onions?

Everything we ordered was delish!

Each order of chicken does come with a sauce of choice, and I did order a couple extra.  We tried the Cilantro / Jalapeno Aioli, Teri Mayo, Buttermilk Ranch, and Sriracha Ketchup.

I enjoyed them all, but if I had to choose a favorite, it was the Buttermilk Ranch (great for dipping the fries into as well!).

Chicken & Brisket describes themselves as a late-night take-out spot, but thank goodness they are open during the day, because my late-night eating days have long been over.

They also describe themselves as a spot that offers generous portions and lots of meat, and they definitely deliver on those two aspects.

Everything we ordered last my family 3 meals - it was so much food!

Thanks, Nat, for the recommendation!

They operate out of Monarch Sports Bar & Grill. Order online, text them when you arrive, and they bring the food to your vehicle!
