Sunset Smokehouse

Last year, Chef Alan told me that one of his favorite dishes from an HFWF event was from Sunset Smokehouse, and ever since, I've been wanting to try.

The eatery is only open on certain days of the week, and every time I found myself in Wahiawa or wanting to go, they were closed.

But finally, I planned ahead, and was able to try the "Texas Barbecue Craft Meats," and scratch made sides.

ATX Coleslaw

Hill Country Slaw

Potato Salad

Cream Corn

Rolls, Onions, Pickles

Pulled Pork, Beef Sausage, Beef Brisket

The food did not disappoint!  My favorite would have to be the sausage, but the brisket was absolutely delicious as well - tender, smoky, and just perfectly cooked!  Even the pulled pork was nice and smoky, with lots of flavor.

Of the sides, my favorite was the ATX Coleslaw, which had some a good amount of heat, but I would order them all again.

My only regret is not ordering more meat - my kids can eat!
