ALOHA JOE FREE VIRTUAL CONCERT AND FUNDRAISER FOR CLEAN ENERGY

Blue Planet Energy, For Good Ventures and Artists For the Future announced today the Aloha Joe! Concert and Fundraiser, an event uniting award-winning musicians and community leaders in celebration of Hawai‘i’s natural environment and in recognition of our responsibility to the future of our planet. This concert is a message from artists who want to stop climate change, end deforestation, save the ocean and switch to clean energy and will live stream online atnocapshows.com on Saturday, October 24th at 2:00 p.m. HST. For more information visitwww.alohajoebiden.com. Tickets are free with suggested donations that go to Artists for the Future.

The Aloha Joe! Concert and Fundraiser will feature performances by internationally famous musicians including guitar pioneer and GRAMMY® Award Winner Al Di Meola, internet sensation NoMBE, Hawai‘i’s own Tia Carrere and percussionist Leon Mobley, as well as popular Hawaiian artists including GRAMMY® Award Winners John Cruz and Charles Brotman, Eric Gilliom and Poet Laureate of Hawai‘i and National Endowment for the Arts “Master Artist” Kealoha. In addition, respected leaders in the environmental and clean energy fields will share analysis and inspirational insight including Maya Soetoro-Ng and Dr. Sylvia Earle. The program will be hosted by Reverend and Kahu Danny Akaka Jr., son of the late Senator Daniel Akaka and Henk Rogers of Blue Planet Energy.

Hawai‘i is a national leader in renewable energy and this virtual event will provide a platform to encourage positive change and action. Through musical performances and talk story, the Aloha Joe! Concert and Fundraiser will educate, engage and—most importantly—entertain viewers around the world.

Event Mission

  • Help Joe Biden win the 2020 election.
  • Encourage people to vote.
  • Teach how imperative this election is for the health of our environment, which is ultimately the health of ourselves and families.
  • Remind that we must care for the land and our natural resources. Use renewable energy, practice sustainable farming, value water from rain to ocean.
  • Bring a moment of Hawai‘i-themed positivity to people around the country.
  • Celebrate Hawai‘i’s unique culture, music and people.

About Artists For the Future (AFF)

Artists For the Future is a political action committee formed by Henk Rogers and Kim Kolt to give artists opportunities to amplify their voices and help create a clean energy, sustainable tomorrow. AFF events aim to raise awareness, unite people, drive action and fund positive change. Proceeds from the Aloha Joe! Concert and Fundraiser will benefit AFF and be spent in swing states alongside local organizations supporting voting transportation and volunteers for polling stations, needed to help as many people vote as possible in these critical areas.
