Holey Grail Donuts Brings their Taro Donuts to Oahu

Founded by brother and sister team, Nile and Hana Dreiling, in early 2018 on Kauai, Holey Grail has found a second home at Ward Centre.  Their taro donuts are fried in organic coconut oil and made to order using hand grown and hand crafted ingredients.
You can order donuts by the flavor or opt for their Tasting Box -a four pack of seasonal and rotating flavors. They also offer a line up of beverages including draft coffee and draft latte.

It probably wasn't the best idea to pick up donuts on their opening day, but one hour and two sun-burnt shoulders later, I had picked up 2 tasting boxes, a hot single, and a draft latte.  The draft latte is their draft coffee - custom coffee blend flash-chilled and nitrogen infused - with nut milk.  I really enjoyed it especially since it was a hot day.

I couldn't wait to try the donuts so on the drive home, I safely (with both eyes on the road) took a bite of the hot single.  It's glazed with neighborhood honey and flakey sea-salt.  I immediately noticed the crunch when I took a bite and then the chewy texture.  I really liked it and before I knew it, I ate half.

I gave away one tasting box and the kids and I devoured the second one.  We would definitely be back for more donuts, but will wait for shorter lines.
