Taqueria El Gallo Rosa

I was in Kailua and in the mood for something quick, light, and savory, and I happened to be across the street from Taqueria El Gallo Rosa, so I popped in to try a couple of their tacos.

Taqueria El Gallo Rosa opened late last year, taking over the space formerly occupied by Prima, which was a popular pizza joint in Kailua.  They specialize in street tacos made with house-made gluten-free corn tortillas.

The nice thing about Taqueria El Gallo Rosa is that they sell their tacos by the piece, so you can order as many as you want, with any filling you want. I decided to try two tacos - the carne asada and fried fish taco.

Both were excellente!

They're quite small though, and after dropping $9 for two small tacos, I was still hungry. But, I appreciated the quality and freshness of the ingredients used.

Good Mexican food is hard to find on Oahu, but you can find it here at Taqueria El Gallo Rosa.
