Döner Shack's Food Truck

Döner Shack, a very popular Mediterranean hole-in-the-wall restaurant in downtown Honolulu is now selling affordable salads, rice plates, and wraps from a food truck on the University of Hawaii at Manoa Campus.

How to order: 1) choose between a rice plate (regular or mini), salad (regular or mini) or wrap, then 2) choose your meat: chicken or lamb/beef kebab

Since I'm trying to watch my spending (and my waistline!), I ordered the mini rice plate with lamb/beef.

I was pleasantly surprised by the portion - I was expecting less than what I received.  And the food was outstanding taste-wise!

It's not too often that I can rave about something that I've eaten on campus, but this was worthy of a blog post, and post on my Instagram page!

Their location on campus depends on the day. Here is their current schedule:
  • Korean Studies (Monday), Kennedy Theatre (Tuesday), Post (Wednesday), Kuykendall (Thursday), and Architecture (Friday)
