Brookies Recipe

I love brookies - brownies + cookies!

I've made them in bar form and mini bites form, and I recently made them in cookie form.

Similar to the Cookie Butter Chocolate Swirl cookies in appearance, these Brookies combine brownie batter and chocolate chip cookie batter to make a large combo cookie!

So when the craving for both a brownie and cookie hit, don't hesitate to make these Brookies!

Brookies

Brownie
  • 1/2 c melted butter
  • 3/4 sugar
  • 1/2 c unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 t vanilla extract
  • 1 c flour
Chocolate Chip Cookie
  • 1/2 c butter, softened
  • 1/2 c packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 c sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 t vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 c flour
  • 1/2 t baking soda
  • 1 c chocolate chips
Directions:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • In a large bowl, combine melted butter, sugar, and cocoa powder. Stir in eggs and vanilla. Mix in flour. Refrigerate.
  • In a separate large bowl, beat together butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Stir in egg and vanilla. Add in flour and baking soda.
  • Fold in chocolate chips.
  • Form balls of each batter (approximately one heaping teaspoonful).
  • Combine one ball of dough of each batter to create one large ball of combined dough.
  • Place on prepared baking sheet and bake for approximately 12 minutes.
  • Cool completely on wire rack.
