Visit Hilo: Conscious Culture Cafe

I finally tried Conscious Culture Cafe after wanting to try there for months!  The eatery focuses on fresh, healthy, local ingredients - and they make everything taste good!
Casablanca

Portabella Mushroom Bibimbap
I had the Portabella Mushroom Bibimbap.  A tasty, marinated, grilled portabella that was served atop brown rice, along with pickled bean sprouts, cucumbers, green beans, kimchi, egg, and a Korean kombucha BBQ sauce.  All of the veggies made for a very filling meal, and I loved the BBQ sauce!

The Casablanca is the most popular salad, and it's easy to see why.  This gorgeous salad consisted of sprouted garbanzo & macadamia nut hummus, spicy pickled beans, kalamata olives, cucumber, tomato salsa, kale-basil-macnut pesto, and dried figs.  And there's more!  It was accompanied by sourdough bread and organic blue corn chips.

I look forward to returning to try the sandwiches!
