Lunch at Senia

It was my turn to treat my two long-time friends to lunch for their birthdays - the first place that came to mind was Senia. I wanted to treat them to a very nice meal, and knew Senia would not disappoint.

For the 1st course of the prix fixe menu, two of us chose the Tuna Takaki, and one chose the "Chopped Salad".

For the 2nd course, I tried the Fried Chicken "Caesar" Sandwich.

The chicken was really moist and tender, and fried to perfection!  I would definitely order this again if they keep it on the menu.

For the 3rd Course, one of us tried the Le Cannel ...

while I and my other friend ordered the Senia Cookie - my fave! Ice cream is an extra $3, but so worth it.  The cookie is always served warm and it just melts in your mouth, along with the ice cream.

Since the restaurant knew we were celebrating two birthdays, they presented the guests of honor with a complimentary plate of Mignardises.

The birthday girls both enjoyed their meals and were impressed with the food and service. The prix fixe menu is now $38 (up from $35) plus tax and tip, which some say is a bit expensive for lunch, but it's worth it IMHO, especially for someone like me who doesn't get the opportunity to eat at fine dining places very often anymore.
