Lunch at Piggy Smalls

A few years ago, I went to Piggy Smalls for the first time for lunch, and it has become a favorite spot for brunch.

I've been wanting to go back for two reasons: to try the LFCauliflower, and to eat the Frozen S'mores again.

LFCauliflower
I've been on the hunt for cauliflower dishes, and when I found out Piggy Smalls offers cauliflower as an alternative to their famous LFC Wings, I had to give it a try.

It was definitely a popular dish, as I saw the LFCauliflower being ordered on many other tables.  I thought it was tasty, and the money sauce was really good, but I do admit - I missed the chicken!

Roasted Porchetta

Chef's Pasta Special - Rigatoni
I ordered the Roasted Porchetta for my entree, which was a huge serving atop smoked white bean ragu, and served with a garlic yogurt.  Nat ordered the Rigatoni, which was a pasta special of the day.

I was eager for dessert, so of course I ordered the Frozen S'mores, and also decided to try the Salted Chocolate Cookie

Frozen S'mores
The Frozen S'mores did not disappoint, but I was surprised with how much I loved the cookie!  Made with Valrhona dark chocolate and baked with sea salt, the cookie was crunchy on the outside, and chewy on the inside.  It was so delicious - I ate more than my share!

I am so sad that we didn't order the Milk & Honey dessert, however, because I heard the very same night we dined there, that dish was retired!!

I hope they never retire the Frozen S'mores or the Salted Chocolate Cookie!
