Roy's Waikiki

I remember the first time I tried Roy's Misoyaki Butterfish.  It was at Roy's Waikiki over 4 years ago.  I just had a small bite, but it was enough to make it a favorite dish of mine, and it's the only thing I will now order whenever I go to any Roy's location.

So of course, there was no doubt about what I would eat for dinner on a recent visit to Roy's Waikiki.

Misoyaki Butterfish
The Misoyaki Butterfish was absolutely amazing.  I ordered the small portion, but I was wishing I ordered the regular size portion, even though I was quite full.  That's how good it is!

Everything my husband and I indulged in that evening was just fantastic.

Roy's Beachwalk Canoe Appetizer for Two: Szechuan Baby Back Ribs, Shrimp Sticks, Crispy Mini Crab Cakes, Chinatown Chicken Spring Rolls & Spicy Tuna Roll

Macadamia Nut Crusted Mahi
The Canoe Appetizer was a meal in itself, and it was a great way to try out different starters.  They were all very good, but my fave was the ribs.

Even though I was stuffed, I still ordered two (yes two!) desserts (of course I shared!).
Roy's Warm Big Island Pineapple Upside Down Cake

Peanut Butter Chocolate Crunch Bar
The Pineapple Upside Down Cake has always been a fave of mine, but the Peanut Butter Chocolate Crunch Bar is my new fave!  I just love the combination of PB + Chocolate, and this dessert was absolutely divine.

Service was excellent, and so was the food.

Roy's Waikiki never disappoints!
