Visit Waimea: Anuenue Playground

On the way to dinner in Waimea, the kids spotted Anuenue Playground, an amazing new playground that was completed last year.  They begged to go, so after dinner, even though it was freezing (by Hawaii standards - a chilly 62 degrees!), we stopped at the playground.

This colorful playground (anuenue means rainbow in Hawaiian) offers kids ample space to swing, climb, slide, and crawl.

There are several benches around the playground so parents can sit and monitor the kids.

It truly is a fantastic playground for the community.  I wish there were more playgrounds like that on Oahu!
