Visit Philadelphia: Reading Terminal Market Eats

Foodies must make a stop at Reading Terminal Market while in Philly.

You will find everything from Pennsylvania Dutch Staples to fresh seafood and poultry.

Ice cream, donuts, corn dogs, oysters - if you're craving it, you may just be able to find it at Reading Terminal Market.

When we visited Reading Terminal Market we ordered a variety of items from different eateries.  In addition to ice cream from Bassetts Ice Cream, we also ate:

Melter Skelter - Valley Shepherd Creamery & MeltKraft
This was my fave of all the eats.  An artisan grilled cheese sandwich consisting of pickled green tomatoes, jalapeno, and watercress.  Yummy!
Scrapple - Down Home Diner
Scrapple (Google it if you've never heard of it) is a Pennsylvania Dutch Staple.  I just had to try it since we were in PA.
Roast Pork Sandwich ("A Best Sandwich of American winner") at DiNic's
The sandwich was filling, but I thought the flavors fell a little flat.
Fried Mac & Cheese with Bacon - Beck's Cajun Cafe

Onion Rings - Hunger Burger

All Beef Jumbo Pretzel Cheese Dog from Miller's Twist

I wish we had more time (and a bigger appetite) to eat more foods from Reading Terminal Market.

Until next time...
