Restaurant XO Grand Opening Tonight!

Last night I was fortunate to have attended a media tasting at Restaurant XO, which opens tonight!

Guests were treated to a variety of dishes created by Chefs Kenneth and Aleina, both formerly of Senia.

Salt & Vinegar Lotus Chips, Moringa

Assorted Pickles

Torn Tofu Salad, Thai Dressing

Buttermilk Fried Oysters, Curry Aioli

House Ginger Fried Rice

"XO" Scallops

Loaded Potato Au Gratin

Adobo Fried Chicken

NY Strip Steak

Brown Butter Chocolate Chip Cookie a la Mode, Nam Pla Caramel
The Adobo Fried Chicken is a signature dish that was the brainchild of both Chef Kevin and Chef Aleina, and was frequently served during Family Meal at Senia.  Extra crispy chicken thighs are covered in an adobo butter sauce.  You must order this dish!

Other faves of the night included the Loaded Potato Au Gratin (a few were playfully arguing over who would get the last bites), "XO" Scallops, House Fried Rice (one guest said she's picky about fried rice, but really liked Restaurant XO's), and Buttermilk Fried Oysters (this was another of my personal faves - the accompanying Curry Aioli was so good!).

The Brown Butter Chocolate Chip Cookie was amazing as well.  On it's own it was so delicious, but with the ice cream and fish sauce caramel (yes, fish sauce caramel, but it was not fishy at all - just think salted caramel!) really completed the dessert.

Restaurant XO opens tonight at 5pm!  Walk-ins only, so get there early!
