Lace up your shoes! The 6th Annual Honolulu Ekiden and Music Festival returns this month on Sunday, May 20, 2018. The 26.2-mile course is divided into six legs and invites a six runner relay team to take in scenic views from Diamond Head, Hanauma Bay and along the iconic Sandy Beach coastline.

Leading up to the race is the annual Honolulu Ekiden Music Festival on Saturday, May 19, at the Waikiki Shell. Performers this year include artists from Japan and Hawaii, such as Kalapana, Mana’o Company, The Real Ho’aikane, May J., Shiritsu Ebisu Chugaku, and Sunplaza Nakano-Kun & Pappara Kawai.
Interested participants can register online at www.hnlekiden.org. Registration is $60 per runner before May 15, 2018 with a last-chance registration available on May 19 for $70. General Admission concert tickets (Lawn/Terrace Area) to The Honolulu Ekiden Music Festival are included for all participants. Individual music festival tickets are available for purchase at www.ticketmaster.com starting from $30.
