Tsukada Nojo

Had a wonderful dinner with my girlfriends at Tsukada Nojo one Sunday evening.  It's been open for over a year now, but it was the first visit for all four of us.

Parking is limited, so if you can, make your reservation for the first seating at 5 pm so that you can get one of stalls right outside of the restaurant. Otherwise, you'll need to find parking on the street in the surrounding neighborhood which will involve some walking on your part.

Family style is the way to go here, as there is a wide variety of dishes to choose from, and they're all really good.  (Click here for the menu)

Here's what the four of us shared:

Hamachi Jalapeno

Chicken Veggie Tacos

Nikumaki Rice Ball

Salted Nori Enoki Mushroom (A MUST-TRY)

Nori Avocado

Unagi Kabayaki Fried Rice

Nut and Veggie Chopped Salad

Spicy Chicken Nanban

Shabu Shabu with Sukiyaki Soup and USDA Choice Top Sirloin.

Since I checked in to the restaurant on the Yelp App, we were offered a complimentary shave ice bear, which is quite possibly what they're most known for since it's so photogenic.

I love these spoons ... (our server made it a point to tell us that a lot of people take them, so I guess that was a warning to us that she was keeping track ...)

See why the Polar Bear is photographed and posted on social media so much?  So kawaii!
