Luibueno's Kapolei

Although Luibueno in Haleiwa is no more, you can still get your fix at the Ka Makana Ali`i location.

A few people had told me they didn't have a great experience there, so I was a bit hesitant to try out the Kapolei location despite having good experiences at the old Haleiwa location, but I'm so glad we did - it turned out to be a great dining experience!
Complimentary Chips & Salsa

Grilled Ahi Taco

El Americano Burrito

Nachos Mexicanos
The Chips & Salsa were so addicting!  It was some of the best salsa I've had in a while.  We even requested extra chips and salsa to take home!

The Nachos Mexicanos - topped with a housemade cheese sauce, guacamole, queso fresco and pico de gallo, along with pork chorizo (additional charge), were really good.  I thought the toppings could have been distributed more evenly amongst all of the chips, however.

The Burrito was stuffed with shredded brisket (can also opt for shredded chicken), and you can get it "wet" with ranchera or tomatillo sauce for $1 more,

Keiki Quesadilla

Keiki Ice Cream
Keiki Meals are $8 each and come with a drink and ice cream.  There are only 3 meal options - quesadilla, chicken tenders, or PB&J.

We were the first ones seated in the restaurant, and it took a while for our server to finally greet us, but once she did, the service was outstanding.

I wouldn't hesitate to dine in at Luibueno's again!
