A Weekend in Waikiki at the Hilton Waikiki Beach on Kuhio

Our family recently spent a weekend in Waikiki at the Hilton Waikiki Beach on Kuhio. This award-winning, 601-room hotel offers kama`aina and visitors convenient and comfortable accommodations and a variety of services and amenities, all with no daily resort fee!

Although our room was not ready despite having arrived after check-in time, the large, welcoming lobby offered plenty of space for the family to relax until we got our keys.  Speaking of keys, once our room was ready, an employee actually tracked me down in the lobby and hand-delivered my keys to me!  Talk about service!

We stayed in a stylish, modern 2 Double Beds Deluxe Ocean View Room.

Included in the room were two ultra comfy Hilton Serenity beds, a 42-inch plasma HDTV, work desk, refrigerator, and coffee maker.

The marble bathroom had a large vanity, as well as plenty of shelves for towels and other personal belongings.

Because of the large cracked glass panels in the bathroom, the light could easily shine through at night, even with the blinds closed.  If you're a light sleeper, and/or you have little ones that wake up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom, consider bringing an eye mask so the light won't disrupt your sleep.

Each guest room has its own private lanai.  From our lanai, we had a pretty view of the ocean, and could even see Diamond Head!

For those who book an Executive Room or have Hilton Honors Diamond Status, you'll get access to the Executive Lounge, where you can enjoy complimentary breakfast each morning, and hors d'oeuvres each evening.

Access to the Executive Lounge is a great way to save money on meals!  You can get quite filled up with the variety of eats made available.

Another great perk of staying at the Hilton Waikiki Beach on Kuhio is that you get to enjoy live music nightly from 6pm to 9pm!

On property you'll also find a gift shop, fitness center, M.A.C. 24/7 for delicious eats 24 hours a day, and LBLE Lounge for cocktails and pupus.

The Prince Kuhio room pays homage to Prince Kuhio Kalaniana‘ole Pi'ikoi – a descendant of ancient royal families. Known as the“Prince of the People," this room is dedicated to him and showcases some of Hawaii's history and culture.

One of our favorite spots at the Hilton Waikiki Beach on Kuhio was at the pool deck on the 10th floor.

A handy towel tracker machine makes getting pool towels a cinch.

I loved that there is no charge for use of the cabanas!  It's first-come, first-served!

There are a variety of loungers available for use throughout the entire pool deck, and you can even grab a bite to eat or a drink to sip on at the Hang 10 Bar & Grill.

At the pool deck you'll also find showers, a sunscreen station, and water station!

The location of the Hilton Waikiki Beach on Kuhio is ideal as well - just a block away from Waikiki Beach, and steps away from numerous other retailers and restaurants.

If you're searching for a hotel with lovely rooms, great dining, and numerous amenities without a resort fee, be sure to check out the Hilton Waikiki Beach on Kuhio!
