Bevy Market

At Bevy Market in SALT at Our Kakaʻako, you'll find gourmet sandwiches, salads, and pastas that will make you feel like you're dining at a deli in New York.

What piqued my interest in Bevy Market were photos of fresh pasta dishes on social media - pesto, meatballs, beef ragu, and even clams. Since my friend Brandon loves pasta as much as I do, I suggested this place for lunch, and he agreed.

The daily pasta specials were no where to be found on the menu, so we asked the cashier what the specials were. I had my heart set on the beef ragu, so I ordered it, and Brandon ordered the meatballs pasta so that we could try two different pastas.

The beef ragu was delicious. It wasn't anything extraordinary, but it was comforting and not too heavy.

The meatball pasta on the other hand was not as appealing. The meatballs were hard (it seemed like they used frozen meatballs and did not heat them well enough).  The noodles were also undercooked. In hindsight we should have ordered a different pasta dish, such as the pesto.

Also available for sale here are bagged taro chips

fresh breads

and locally made cooking spices and flavorings.

I will definitely be returning soon to try other things on the menu!
