Roy's Beach House

We were cruising at the beach waiting for our reservation time at Roy's Beach House and of course 10 minutes before it's time to chow, both kids fall asleep.  They were not happy to wake up, but luckily we were seated quickly and our server was a pro.  Before they had time to fuss, she brought them their drinks and complimentary cheese quesadillas with grapes and veggie sticks.

I saw that this was the first course of the prix fixe keiki menu which also comes with an entrĂ©e and dessert for just $15.99.  My son had the crispy chicken breast and french fries and my daughter had the parmesan macaroni pasta.  Both dishes were very tasty and were so much better than your standard kids meals.  Their meals ended with a ice cream sandwich made with chocolate chip cookies.  It was SO good.  I had to ask for a few bites (from each kid).

I had the garlic grilled vegetable ZTA sandwich.  I loved the grilled zucchinis and tomatoes paired with the creamy avocado.  I was surprised how flavorful the grilled veggies were.

By checking in on the Yelp app, you get a complimentary Roy's signature chocolate soufflĂ©, but I found out it's only good for dinner.  Lucky for me, the server checked to see if they could substitute their Mother's Day dessert and they did.  Sweet!

Not only did we enjoy our tasty meals, but we also enjoyed the relaxing and casual ambience of the open air restaurant.  I loved dining steps away from the beach!
