El Palenque

El Palenque is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants.  It's a tiny little hole-in-the-wall in Wahiawa, but the service is friendly and the food is delish!

At El Palenque, I always order what I usually order at just about any Mexican restaurant - Chicken Chimichanga!
Chicken Chimichanga
El Palenque serves two small chimichangas versus one large one as is typical at most other Mexican restaurants I've been too.

The chimichangas are so good.  The chicken is seasoned nicely, and the accompanying beans and rice are both so flavorful.

Steak Alambrado
My husband enjoyed the Steak Alambrado (steak with cheese and onions), which is served with your choice of corn or flour tortillas.

A keiki menu is offered.  The kids' chimichanga plate comes with a single chimichanga, and no salad garnish or sour cream, but it does come with a side of salsa.
Kids Chicken chimichanga
The kids quesadilla was stuffed with chicken and cheese, and also came with a side of salsa.

If you're in the Wahiawa area craving Mexican food, check out El Palenque!
