Pecan Praline Blondies

I love blondies, and since I had a bunch of pecans, I decided to make Pecan Praline Blondies.

These Pecan Praline Blondies are a great way to use up pantry items.

With just a few basic ingredients you most likely have on hand, you can whip up a batch of these tasty blondies.

The original recipe calls for heating the butter and brown sugar on the stovetop, but being the impatient person that I am, I just heated the butter and brown sugar in the microwave.

The end result was a sweet, chewy, nutty blondie.  Easy and delicious!

Pecan Praline Blondies

Ingredients:
  • 1 c butter
  • 2 c brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 t vanilla extract
  • 1 1/4 c all purpose flour
  • 2 t baking powder
  • 2 c coarsely chopped pecans
Directions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, heat butter and brown sugar on high for 2 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds.
  • Cool for about 5 minutes, then add in egg and vanilla.
  • Mix in flour, baking powder and salt.
  • Fold in pecans.
  • Pour batter into parchment-lined 9x13 pan.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes.
  • Cool completely before cutting into squares.
