One day I decided to try and make an Oriental Chicken recipe since I had most of the ingredients on hand.
The original recipe called for chicken wings, but I used chicken breasts instead. The recipe also called for ajinomoto, which I omitted.
The chicken was very tasty, and definitely something I'd make again.
- 2 T flour
- 4 T cornstarch
- 4 T mochiko
- 4 T sugar
- 1/2 t salt
- 2 T shoyu
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into 1" pieces
- Mix all ingredients except chicken.
- Soak chicken in mixture for at least one hour and fry until golden brown.
